Dr Sylvia Roins has a PhD in Pharmacy & Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons I). Sylvia has 17 years' experience in regulatory affairs in both Australia & New Zealand mainly with prescription products over a range of therapeutic areas, including Cardiovascular, Neuroscience, Established products & Oncology. Sylvia also has clinical & academic experience in pharmacy.
Sylvia is passionate about quality use of medicines & the role Consumer Medicine Information (CMI) plays in educating the consumer about their medicines & in ensuring timely & accurate information is delivered to patients. Over the years she has written many CMIs & conducted numerous CMI workshops through ARCS & presented at ARCS seminars & conferences.
Sylvia has also been a member of the Electronic Distribution Working Group (EDWG) since 1997 & has held the position of Chair since 2002. EDWG has been instrumental in driving market awareness of CMI & overseeing developments in the electronic distribution of CMI & Product Information.
